Practicing Mindfulness in the Time of Corona

How many times have you walked into a room and forgotten why? How many times have you had difficulty in remembering what you had for lunch? These are some of the common confusions in our daily lives that could be easily solved by practicing mindfulness. Keeping that in mind, RapidValue’s Signora Comit organized a virtual session titled ‘The Art and Science of Mindfulness’ for its women associates as part of ‘International Women’s Day for Peace and Disarmament’ on the 28th of May, 2020. The session was led by leading yoga practitioner, Ligi Abraham, in association with CareerFit 360, a soft skills training institute in Kochi. 

The one-hour session focused on the importance of practicing mindfulness in our day to day lives. Especially now, with the COVID-19 situation, working women are trying to balance both their professional and personal lives from their homes. Ligi Abraham insisted on how regular practice of mindfulness could bring about a significant change in their lifestyles. She also went forward to demonstrating breathing techniques that could help sharpen their concentration and awareness.

“It was a great experience to interact with the women employees of RapidValue Solutions. I was very much overwhelmed with their response and eagerness to learn. I hope that the session proved to be insightful to them and that they can bring visible changes into their lives by practicing Mindfulness,” says Ligi Abraham.
